Please be aware that this particular subforum will (and currently does) contain SPOILERS. You enter and participate in our Silent Hill movie subforum at your own discretion so please do not blame us should you find yourself inadvertantly spoiled.

Banners used at The Otherworld Forums must not exceed the following dimensions (in pixels) ....

Width: no more than 400
Height: can be between 150 and 200
Banner weight must not exceed 60k (total).

Text based signatures used at The Otherworld Forums must not exceed three lines of text. You are more than welcome to use a combination of a banner with a text signature but please make sure that the text you do use doesn't exceed one line if you do decide to go ahead with this suggestion.

Banners and signatures must not contain any form of advertising or links to other sites or other forums. The moderators reserve the right to remove any such banners or signatures. If you have any questions regarding this please ask in The Confessional.

Needless Posting: If you post "First Post!!!11!!" or anything that otherwise does not contribute to the forums, it generally will not be tolerated by the mods and the residents of this forum. Highly annoying. Don't do it.

Links: Don't mess up the forums or the computers of people using the forums. Adding any malicious hidden links (ie, URLs that are hidden to put users on your ignore list, to log people off the forums, or to go to a site which floods you with nonstop popups) will result in a ban.

Site Invasions: We do not promote the "invading" of other forums/sites and being jerks to other internet goers, regardless of how lame and deserving of ridicule you feel they are.

Whining: If you can't stand a thread, just vote it a "1" - don't even bother replying. Pointing out how stupid you feel a thread is will result in a warning, and then a ban. Unless if a thread is hideously going out of control, you're taking your chances.

Slapfights/Incessant Trolling: Flamewars and other immature contests must be confined to The Confessional. Repeat offenders will be moved to this forum exclusively and have their viewing/posting priveleges to other forums revoked until they wise up or just banned, depending on the retardation of the poster. Stupidity will not be tolerated.

Respect the Administrators, Moderators and Watchers: Any form of moderator harassment including insults, doing the opposite of something you were asked to do, reposting a thread that was deleted, complaining about a custom title, protesting a ban of another forum user, or re-opening a thread that a moderator closed, will result in a ban. If you complain about what you feel are shortcomings of the current moderation team, either real or imaginary, you will be banned.

Harassment: If someone is making you feel uncomfortable on the forums because of direct harassment, take the issue up with them in private email/PM. If it continues, publicly ask them to stop. BE ADVISED THAT FLAMES OR INSULTS DO NOT CONSTITUTE HARASSMENT. If you waste our time with non-harassment the last person who you'd expect to receive punishment will be banned - you. THE POSTING OF ANOTHER'S REAL LIFE INFORMATION IS PROHIBITED. The only person you can post real life information on is yourself. The fact that the information that you post of another party is available elsewhere (such as a whois search) will NOT be accepted as justification. Stay out of people's personal lives. Please leave your personal grudges with other forum members at the door before entering the forums.

NO TOLERANCE: We will ban anybody and everybody using racisim, posting illegal images such as bestiality/child porn, etc.
